About Me
Jérôme
Favre
I’m Jérôme - a French photographer based in New Cross, Southeast London. I’ve been shooting photos for as long as I can remember, from the day my granddad handed me his point and shoot camera with no film in it. And nowadays I shoot weddings all over the UK and the world.
I love every aspect of photography, the planning, the shooting, the creativity, the editing… but above all, I love meeting people along the way.
I’m also a documentary, portrait and commercial photographer, and you can discover this other side to my work here. Aside from photography, I’m a keen traveller, an avid reader and a passionate cook with a love for meeting new people.
My approach
How I shoot weddings
I’m a documentary wedding photographer, which means that on your wedding day I will blend in with your guests and capture the day as it unfolds in a relaxed and unobtrusive manner. Rather than orchestrating poses or using artificial lighting, I prefer to blend into the background and let the events naturally unfold. This approach allows me to capture genuine emotions, unscripted interactions, and the natural beauty of the wedding day. Ultimately, my goal is to create a visual narrative that tells the true story of your special day.
I will work with natural light wherever possible, carefully composing my shots to ensure the images feel natural and true to your day, never forgetting the small, playful moments and always making sure to be in the right place at the right time.
The only directions I will give you are for the group shots, and for the more intimate couple shots. I know the latter can seem a little scary, especially if you’re camera-shy, but I’ll make sure you both feel relaxed and I promise you we’ll have a laugh in the process!
Process
Here’s what you can expect
Consultation
Before we spend one of the most important days of your lives together, it’s best to make sure we’re a good fit. We’ll talk money, timing, availability, preferences, and everything else — down to your favourite angles of your nose. But most of all, we’ll get know each other, so that on the day it will feel like someone you know and trust is taking the photos.
Planning
Once you’re booked into my calendar and we’re ready to rock and roll, I’ll be in contact with your wedding planner (whether that’s you, your mum, or a professional) to gather all the details I’ll need to do my best work. That way, you can feel at ease on your wedding day and just enjoy every moment.
The Big Day
And lastly, of course, the wedding itself! I’ll be there all day with you, capturing everything from the first mimosa in the morning, until the last song of your reception. I’m there to document your best day ever, so don’t even worry about me!
